Romans went into the game against NSCD, needing a win to continue their hunt for the ISL for 4 years running.
The team started slowly and struggled to find a rhythm until the end of 1Q, when Maddie Gaines played a perfect pass to Raffa Koloskov who finished with a fine touch into the corner.
The team then started to pick up the pace in the 2Q, with 3 goals in 7 mins, Maddie Gaines with a lovely shot across the keeper, Ellie O'Shea from a short corner with another sublime finish and finally Belle Kruger with a deft deflection from the long corner ball in from Zoe Larsen.
The team made wholesale changes for the 3Q and continue to press with some better passing and continued chances, finally paying off with Kaya Bhandari with a fine sweep finish from a Caroline Gaines saved shot by the NSCD keeper.
The 4Q was emphasizing passing and movement and the romans saw out the win, they have the chance to win the ISL on Wednesday for senior night against LFA, please come and cheer on our 19 seniors!!
